We have installed thousands of remote start systems.  Here is a list of the most

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My vehicle isn't listed on your website, does that mean I can't have a Remote Starter installed?

A: Not necessarily.  Our vehicle database is always being updated, but it does not include every vehicle we can do.  It may be a vehicle that is not as common for us so it has not been added yet.   If your vehicle is not listed, simply give us a call or use our contact page to ask about your particular vehicle.

Q: Will a Remote Starter void my new vehicle's warranty?

A: NO, When properly installed, our Arctic Start remote start systems are fully compatible with the complex electronic systems in today's vehicles.  A manufacturer or dealership cannot void your warranty simply because you installed an aftermarket accessory such as a Remote Starter.  For more information, please look up the "Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act"

Q: What is the Warranty?

A: Our installations are warrantied for LIFE!  We believe we do the best work around! If you ever have an issue related to the installation, we will fix it for free!  The remotes themselves are covered by a ONE YEAR manufacturer warranty.

Q: Will there be any wiring showing?

A: NO!  Absolutely not.  We take enormous pride in our installation techniques and workmanship.  We will do our best to make sure the wiring looks as close to factory installed as possible.  The only evidence that we installed your remote starter will likely be the very small portion of wire and antenna mounted on the vehicle's windshield.  In fact, if the remote starter is being installed as a surprise gift, we can even hide the antenna until after the gift is presented and the receiver would have no evidence a remote starter was even installed until they were told.

Q: How far away can I Remote Start my vehicle?

A: Ranges vary depending on the system installed.  They can be from just a few hundred feet if using your OEM remote to start the vehicle, or up to virtually unlimited range if installing one of our DroneMobile systems that can be started from your smartphone.  Whatever your needs, we have a system that will work for you!

Q: How long will it take to install?

A: Time for installation varies, but we generally like to have the vehicle for around 2-3 hours.  Some vehicles can require longer installation times.

Q: My vehicle has a Standard Transmission, can you install a Remote Starter?

A: YES!  We have remote start systems specifically designed to be used safely in manual transmission equipped vehicles.  If your vehicle isn't listed in our database as a manual transmission option, please call us for a quote.  There are additional charges for manual transmission vehicles.

Q:  If my vehicle is remote started, can it be easily stolen?

A: NO!  You must insert your key into the ignition, or have your smart key on you when getting into the vehicle to drive away.  If not, as soon as you press the brake pedal to put the vehicle in DRIVE, the vehicle will shut down preventing anyone from simply getting in and driving your vehicle away.

Q: My vehicle has a chipped/transponder key.  Do I need to "give up" a key to have a remote starter installed?

A: For the majority of vehicles, NO!  We use the latest anti-theft bypass module technology on the market, and for most vehicles this means you do not need to have a key permanently installed in the vehicle to get around the vehicles anti-theft system.  There are a select few vehicles that cannot have their key's transponder information duplicated, in which case you must have at least 2 functioning keys for the vehicle, and one key will need to be permanently installed in the vehicle as part of the remote starter system.

Q: Do I have to carry around an extra remote on my keys?

A: Although many of our systems do come with a remote that must be used to activate the remote starter, we also offer other alternatives such as using your factory remote or key FOB to activate the remote starter (Also known as "3X Lock" start), or DroneMobile, which allows you to use your smartphone to control the remote starter.  Ask us for more details.
