Although we opened our doors here in Fairfield Maine recently in late 2018, we are not new to mobile electronics. My name is Troy Dionne and I am Co-Owner of Xclusiv Audio. I started out with a love of electronics at a very young age. Once old enough to own a vehicle, that love of electronics naturally moved into the car audio world. I began building audio systems as a hobby and competing in amateur car audio competitions for a while before finally, in 2005, beginning a career at a local car audio shop. I spent the next 12 years at that shop developing my installation, wiring and fabrication skills. Around 2011 I also began getting into repairing car audio amplifiers, which is where I met Ethan Poissonnier. Together we started "The Amp Lab". A car audio amplifier repair and re-sale business with our own online store. www.TheAmpLab.net.
Eventually the business grew large enough that in 2017 I left the shop I was at, and worked on The Amp Lab full time. Ethan also devoted more time to the business while also pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. In the beginning Ethan and I were working out of the downstairs portion of my house. Once we completely out grew that space, we moved our repair operations to our current facility in Fairfield. The Amp Lab is now a well known name in the car audio commmunity, as well as the authorized repair center for companies like Sundown Audio and Wolfram Audio.
The added space and installation bay gave us the opportunity to expand our repair business into a full service mobile electronics shop. In October 2018 we added Jake Lashon (Who is also persuing a degree in Applied Electronics and Computer Technology) to our team and officially opened Xclusiv Audio, with the goal to provide the best mobile electronics products and installation to Central Maine.
